an established Rheumatology Practice?

You may be the right candidate for our part-time RN Infusion Coordinator position!

Position Highlights:

  • Responsible for all aspects of patient care specific to infusion therapy

  • Serve as an clinical resource for state-of-the-art technologies associated with infusion therapies

  • Enjoy collaborative relationships with other members of the health care team to provide leadership and coordinate the care of patients

  • Position is part-time Day shift, no weekends or holidays

  • Clinic is conveniently located in our modern Midwest Orthopaedics Building on the main Rush campus

  • Position is eligible for part-time benefits

Position Responsibilities:

  • Accountable and responsible for all delegated tasks as well as clear knowledge of the nursing scope of practice relative to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluations of infusion therapy

  • Provide expert administration of various infusion therapies with exception of chemo to rheumatology patients

  • Work with MDs in a supporting role to triage patient phone calls

  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff, MDs and patients/families

  • Proficiently and accurately utilize Epic, our electronic medical record

  • Train and supervise medical assistants and other clinical staff; serves as preceptor for new nurses

  • Develop and implement instructional information for the department; prepare educational materials for patients, staff and the community.

Position Qualifications:

  • IL RN licensure

  • BSN preferred

  • 2-3 years RN experience; ambulatory experience strongly preferred

  • Expert IV therapy skills

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously

  • Excellent team leadership ability
