Description:
The IT Business Analyst/ Consultant is responsible for providing application support, project management, and business analysis to a business area such as Planning & Strategy, and Business Development. The successful candidate will have a passion for understanding business processes, building extraordinary relationship with business and IT colleagues, and providing timely, high-quality deliverables that meet or exceed business expectations.
Responsibilities may include:
* Providing business areas with a single point of contact for IT issues, requests, and resolutions
* Coordinating all aspects of IT support for business areas including analysis for new systems, upgrade to existing systems, and other IT services as requested
* Ability to organize and coordinate IT and business testing to ensure smooth implementation of new applications and upgrades
* Providing hands-on technical support for both vendor and in-house developed applications
* Managing projects from project initiation through implementation
* Project Management responsibilities including:
* Mapping business processes
* Identifying requirements and scope
* Preparing project management artifacts including:
* Business case justification
* Project plans
* Financial estimates
* Financial model and economics
* Overseeing project execution and reporting
* Facilitating workshops
* Tracking costs and project plan status
* Preparing statements of work for vendor projects
* Managing vendor relationships
* Demonstrating strong communication skills; building partnership with business areas
* Ensuring that IT policies and procedures are followed
* Developing strong, positive relationships with other IT and business teams
Keeping business contacts informed concerning application upgrades, outages, impacts
Qualifications:
Basic/ Required:
* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* 3 years'' experience with EssBase
* 3 years'' experience with VBA and Excel Macros
* Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred:
* Bachelor's Degree in computer science, MIS, or related field
* 3 years' experience as an IT Business Analyst
* 3 years' experience managing IT Projects
* 3 years' experience with Business Warehouse
* Understanding of exploration and production business and prior business unit experience helpful
* Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects
* Able to work independently.Customer focused
* Ability to build strong relationships with vendors, business groups and internal resources
* Solid financial acumen and strong analysis skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
