Qualifications
Required Skills, Competencies, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required. Preferred degree in life sciences or MBA.
- A minimum of 5 years of research administration and/or technology transfer experience in a university setting is required.
- Understanding of basic principles of finance/accounting, contracts, and intellectual property
- Management of cross-functional interactions in a matrix organization
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple concurrent activities
- Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to interface effectively and influentially at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired skills/education/experience/attributes (ideal candidate):
- Experience with academic research collaborations, licenses, or alliances.
- Degree in biological sciences and/or business.
- Ability to develop collaborative working interactions with internal and external partners
- 10 or more years of experience in university technology transfer and contract management preferred.
