Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or other related field with a minimum of 2 years postdoctoral experience. Laboratory experience is to include broad experience in, molecular biology, genetics and biochemistry. Microbiological and genomics knowledge will be a plus. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to lead a team, operate in a multi-disciplinary research environment and have an exceptional literature and/or patent publication record in the relevant field. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be highly motivated and results-oriented.
Desired Experience/Education/Attributes:
Additional experience working with entomopathic microbes or familiarity with the modern tools used to discover insecticidal proteins is valuable to meet the expected challenges of this position. Ability to utilize bioinformatics tools to assist in data mining and experimental design is also valuable experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
