The Bioanalytical Sciences group of the Biologics Clinical Pharmacology (BCP) Department is responsible for the development, validation and performance of bioanalytical methods related to large molecule (biotherapeutic) drug development across all therapeutic areas of J&J, spanning nonclinical studies to post-market clinical development.
The Associate Scientist II is a technical position within the Immunogenicity Bioanalysis group of Bioanalytical Sciences. The incumbent will assist in all aspects of immune response bioanalysis. Responsibilities include method validation, reagent qualification and method troubleshooting. Methods will rely heavily on immunoassay formats and may include biochemistry and other technologies. Position requires data entry in Watson LIMS, electronic lab notebook system and data analysis with Softmax Pro. Immunogenicity data, review and analysis. May assist in writing standard operating procedures, technical reports and documents. Equipment ownership and maintenance in a GLP lab environment. Maintain GLP compliance. Expected to work independently as well as part of a team. Will participate in method validation, method transfer, reagent qualifications and method troubleshooting. Responsibilities also include maintaining routine lab operations/equipment and safe work conditions. Will contribute to the development of a variety of biologic products relating to diverse human disease states (e.g. oncology, immunology, pain management, etc.).
Qualifications
A BS degree is required. Minimum of one year in an industrial bioanalytical setting is required. Experience with bioanalytical methods including bridging assays, ELISAs, Meso Scale Discovery (ECLIA) and ligand binding formats preferred. Experience using automated liquid handling systems, SoftMax Pro and Laboratory Information Management Systems is preferred.
