Key responsibilities:

Review all French language Labelling text and other controlled materials

Give final "company" approval of controlled documents

Review / approve / negotiate changes made to French copy by PAAB

Translate/review sensitive/confidential material not yet in the public domain (i.e. Healthcare Professionals advisories, communications re same, etc.)

Translate medical material such as Serious Adverse Event reports and (at times) patient medical records, lab reports, etc. (Drug Safety and Surveillance)

Audit and evaluate files translated by Vendor of record (as part of vendor assessment)

Develop and maintain excellent relationships with European affiliates and members of the Rx&D Translation groups

Research terminology on new chemical entities to be approved

Contribute to and maintain terminology database

Review and provide regular updates on Quality assessments performed on AOR files

Qualifications


University degree in Translation or Life Sciences or related field

Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in English-French translation/revision in pharmaceutical or paramedical field

ATIO certification and/or other related professional association

Able to work under tight timelines

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Able to work effectively in a team environment

Detail-oriented and process-oriented

Strong knowledge of terminology and translation tools, and MS Office

Deep knowledge of French and English languages

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and medical / scientific terminology

Ability to work in a highly regulated environment, with strict processes and procedures

Ability to apply independent judgment in handling and resolving complex problems and issues
