Regional Planning Manager

A position has arisen working in the Regional FP&A group within the Consumer EAME division of Johnson and Johnson. The position is to provide key financial support to the Regional Finance team (size of business = NTS of $4.3 billion). The role is based in Maidenhead with two direct reports. The role requires minimal travel.

The role would suit an individual that is looking to further their career in finance. Working within a team of finance professionals, the role provides the right candidate a chance to expand and enhance their knowledge of financial business planning and reporting processes, as well as developing their technical expertise and business partnering skills.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your main responsibilities include:

- Management of the regional Hyperion Planning application (Compass) in terms of determining the requirements and timelines for the business plan and actuals submissions by the affiliates, developing the Excel packs that consolidate these submissions, maintaining the hierarchies, and working on further extensions and rollouts as required. Support is provided by a direct report and the Hyperion technical support team.
- Responsibility for the update and maintenance of the Regional Planning calendar, ensuring deadlines are adhered to, and changes updated on a timely basis.
- Supporting the Regional CFO by preparing consolidated Regional Business plan decks and providing other ad hoc support, as required. This will include specific analysis and reporting on the Emerging markets business - $1.2billion of Sales.
- Control of the whole Volume /Cost ICP process including involving 70 MRCs and 8 manufacturing facilities. This involves running and managing the complete process, training users, liaison with technical team on system performance and maintaining a close working relationship with Supply Chain and the tax group for ICP setting. Key contact for ELC on the Year end cost and ICP handover process.
- Supporting the planning & updates for some of the back office functions - IT, HR, Finance etc - in the short term (1 year) this will also involve handling the Global Finance IT & HR requests including BVA reporting and business partnering.
- Managing the tracking and allocation of costs to the STF project in terms of Capital and expense.
- Completing business plan submissions into the corporate reporting system (BRAVO) for the regional adjustment company, and tracking these figures along with any relevant target adjustments.
- Management of your direct reports, including workload prioritisation and career development

Qualifications


Essential: Experience / Exposure

- Degree (or equivalent) & Fully Qualified Accountant
- Significant depth of experience in Finance including exposure of working in either a Country Cluster or Regional Finance environment
- Experience in corporate reporting & analysis as well as leading Complex planning processes.
- Proven experience and track record in staff management and development
- Experience in multi national American owned companies ideally J&J and working in a multi currency environment.
- Strong proven experience in business partnering at VP level.
- Working in or experience of working in with Emerging Markets.
- Ideally, previous experience of Hyperion or similar planning tools as well as experience of SAP
- Strong competence and experience with other IT tools, especially with Excel/Essbase
