MEDICAL AFFAIRS ASSOCIATE MANAGER
This position has direct report to LatAm Medical Affairs Manager
Medical Affairs activities
Focus on business and medical needs to help, create and implement professional relations and continuous medical education (CME) programs.
Provide inputs and implement medical affairs plans, including identification of critical paths and tracking of projects
Work with medical affairs staff and implement launch readiness and life cycle management programs for products
Support business partners on the creation, maintaining and improvement of currently products, future market trends and developments communication and concepts throughout best (most actual and accurate) scientific evidences.
Provide medical support at internal and external meetings, as with Regulatory Agencies, Trainings and Health Care Professionals (HCP) meetings; as well as for projects/ business needs, as Expert Reports, labeling and leaflet changes, technical rationales for company products.
Provide inputs and implement medical affairs plans, including identification of critical paths and tracking of projects
Build Advisory Boards to discuss strategic issues related with physicians behave and business opportunities, escalating key finds and issues to the appropriate business partners.
Work with medical affairs staff and implement launch readiness and life cycle management programs for products
Contribute to business development process, being open to new opportunities available in global market, as well as local products line extensions, creating innovative products with new concepts, ideas, compounds, adapting international products/ideas to Brazilian local rules and strategies.
Manage and be focused on Health Care Compliance demands/ rules, considering all Medical activities, as promotional material and advertising validation, relationship with HCPs and contracts.
Collaborate and attend Product Safety team demands in regard to Cosmetovigilance implementation, as well as Standart Operation Procedures, adverse Events evaluation, Inspections and audits.
Position Overview
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) holds primary responsibility for the execution of the Medical Affairs Plan. They are the point of contact for key opinion leaders (KOLs) in a given territory and help answer their medical, scientific and research needs within specific guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
Disseminate, review and present clinical and scientific data in a balanced, unbiased manner, to key opinion leaders and other HCP's, in group and one-on-one settings
Build strong relationships with HCP's and be recognized regionally as a medical and scientific authority
Develop scientific communication materials (slide presentations) for dissemination to HCPs through contacts and meetings and provide congress support
Ensure a regional scientific leadership strategy via credible and informed scientific dialogue with KOLs
Accountable for relationships with top KOLs their region (development and sustainability through clear engagement plans)
Lead/participate in medical and scientific forums (e.g. ad boards and CMEs) where KOLs are involved
Provide regional medical perspective to influence the medical affairs plan
Medical Scientific Liaison
Be a scientific expert on field to internal and external customers, as well as owner of scientific and competitive intelligence incorporating inputs into strategic plan.
Establish relationship with Medical Association/Key Opinion Leaders
Provide scientific support to opinion leaders, community physicians, investigators and other healthcare providers
Provide medical training to investigators/independent physicians
Respond solicited and unsolicited requests for scientific information via 1:1 or group discussions, discussing medical concepts
Collect solicited and unsolicited requests on proposals to support educational activities; Physician's requests for investigator-initiated studies according to company guidelines and any medical and scientific inquiry related to the therapeutic area of expertise
Medical detailing to selected dermatologists
Qualificações
Graduate degree in Medicine with Dermatology specialization
MSC or PhD background
Fluency in English
Desirable previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Local principal: America Latina-Brasil-São Paulo-São Paulo
