Janssen Supply Chain is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager Engineering for our Vacaville, CA location.

Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Engineering is responsible for leading the JSC Vacaville site's efforts in the areas of facilities and equipment engineering. All equipment and facilities engineering resources outside of the business unit with report through the Sr. Manager. The Sr. Manager will partner with the manufacturing business units and its resources to support manufacturing activity

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the following functional areas: Facilities Engineering, Equipment Engineering.

Coach, develop, and mentor the engineering team to deliver a motivated and engaged team that supports site and manufacturing operations.

Develop, maintain, and execute against the site strategic facility plan to deliver forward looking investment and improvements in both structure and infrastructure to drive reliable and competitive manufacturing and support systems.

Manage the engineering workforce (including consultants, contractors, and other contingent workforce) in the areas of facilities engineering, process engineering, equipment engineering, project management, and engineering validation.

Develop and manage department budget to include capital, OPEX, and utilities

Partner and collaborate extensively with the maintenance team to support project design, system repairs and upgrades to support manufacturing and site systems.

Partner and collaborate extensively with the manufacturing business unit teams to develop, deliver, and maintain existing process and equipment, and develop, design and implement new equipment and processes in support of manufacturing operations.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field is required.

A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related regulated industry is required.

Developing and managing fiscal operating budgets to include annual OPEX, capital projects, and long range strategic capital planning is required.

Experience with short and long range project planning and execution is required.

Expertise in one or more of the following functional areas: Process Engineering or Engineering Validation is preferred.

Experience with Manufacturing Leadership and Quality Engineering is required.

Experience leading an engineering organization supporting manufacturing and/or facilities (e.g. facilities, process, equipment, project) is required.

Significant knowledge and experience in a cGMP regulated environment is required.

Travel of up to 20% domestically and internationally is required.
