Medical Devices & Diagnostics Global Services, LLC. Global Supply Chain Organization is recruiting for a Site Maintenance and Calibration Supervisor to support OCD. The ideal candidate will be located in Rochester, NY.

Provide supervision to the centralized maintenance and calibration team to ensure effective maintenance and calibration of all manufacturing equipment within the Rochester site. Oversee daily activities of administrative assistant, Metrologist, Calibration personnel, Preventive/Corrective Maintenance personnel to ensure compliance to SOPs and strong performance in all Calibration & Maintenance performance metrics. Continuously improve calibration and maintenance processes and performance by establishing standard work, setting clear individual and team expectations, and applying Lean principles. Implement equipment reliability process.
Participate as a member of the Assay Manufacturing Leadership Team, including but not limited to: align to vision, set goals and development plans, hold routine 1:1 meetings with direct reports, provide required training and resources, assure a safe work environment, carry out Credo action plans, communicate frequently across work centers, define equipment and spare parts escalation plans, and utilize performance management - all with a focus on overall plant performance.
Oversee critical business relationship with on site spare parts vendor to assure adequate parts availability with an emphasis on value for services. Set and manage annual spare parts expense budget. Regularly audit vendor adherence to SOPs, use of Maximo, security, and appearance of work space. Track and act on parts management performance measures including: cycle count accuracy, % slow moving parts, % purchases versus issues for maintenance tasks.
Partner with Work Center Leaders to assure efficient resource utilization across demand and preventive/corrective maintenance teams. Measure and continuously improve mechanics' skills depth across the organization.
Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. It is preferred to have a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year experience working in a Manufacturing environment. Management or Supervisory experience is required. Experience with GMP and ISO is required. Experience with calibration requirements is preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Required skills include: Knowledge of Automated equipment, electronics and other equipment related components is required. Maintenance, Engineering or related technical background is required. Demonstrated Six Sigma and Lean application to drive continuous improvements is required. Needs to build Trust and foster relationship. Must implement change and modify work approach to deliver expected results. Requires excellent planning and organizational skills. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required. Needs to be comfortable with large/automated high volume capital equipment. Ability to determine appropriate preventative maintenance frequency and content is required. Able to read blueprints and shop drawings is required. Must be proficient with MS Office WORD and EXCEL software. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to move around and over machinery is required.
Technical understanding of planning, scheduling, and executing calibration and maintenance activities is an asset.
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is preferred. Experience working in a regulated environment is preferred. Demonstrated ability to establish standard work and implement across large team, many through influence only, is preferred. Ability to utilize CMMS (MAXIMO) software is preferred. Manual dexterity for handling instruments and repetitive motions is preferred.
