PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Lead the development, validation, and implementation of utility conservation projects in ?green? restaurant development to support growth and margin improvement of brands and BMU?s. Provide engineering thought leadership on optimized building systems to colleagues and consultants around the world. Scope includes all building systems and equipment and will focus on the efficient use of electricity, gas and water and the sustainable development of our restaurants.

POSITION FUNCTIONS:


? Evaluate and validate mechanical, electrical, gas, and water innovations to reduce usage in our restaurants.

? Develop business case and influence the transfer and implementation of conservation projects to brands, divisions and franchisee partners.

? Provide expert technical guidance on optimized building systems for ?green? restaurant development projects throughout the world

? Leverage outside resources to increase know-how for innovative approaches to reduce carbon and water footprint and environmental impact.

? Track and report progress on energy conservation goals.



EDUCATION: BSME or BSEE

CERTIFICATIONS: CEM and/or LEED AP


EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications):

? 3+ years experience in project management; energy management experience preferred

? Demonstrated success of achieving results through influential leadership of others

? Sound financial analysis and presentation skills

? Strong Excel skills

? Takes Initiative. Actively looks for opportunities to improve restaurant performance and projects that will stretch skill level.
