Director of Packaging Innovation and Development is responsible for bringing new innovative breakthrough packaging ideas from concept through development. Packaging is a key ingredient for the future success of MC and this person would be point on all packaging initiatives which includes the management and direct development activities in material technology and the structural design of packages for the purposes of driving volume growth, improving operational efficiencies and/or reducing the cost basis for packaging materials (circa $3 billion in annual spend). Provide the necessary innovation and leadership, ideation, technical expertise and tactical execution to ensure the methodical development and qualification of new, innovative or modified primary, secondary and tertiary package solutions. Assure technical efficacy and commercial feasibility of new packages and package innovation. Accomplished through effective working relationships and a deep understanding of the business; characteristics of the products, packaging materials technologies, technical capabilities of suppliers, and expectations and desires of the consumer and methodology to gauge same. This position would set the vision and future strategy for packages and packaging across MillerCoors. This person and team would be directly responsible for supporting marketing, operations, sales, and sourcing on all package innovation.

10 plus years of experience:
CPG packaging experience

Proven Innovation experience

Production experience

Proven team builder

Has a vision of balance on the innovation side and commercialization side of the business. Strong team builder that can work across the organization. Key customers will be marketing and operations.

Advance knowledge of packaging material technology.

Innovator in consumer science and marketing research techniques.

Knowledge of all beverage related packaging.

Knowledge of package testing methodologies.

Knowledge of experimental design.

Basic knowledge of package regulations and guidelines affecting package design.

Knowledge of packaging and shipping operations.
