Essential Functions:
- Provide quality training and instructor led educational services for all levels of clinicians and staff that use computers in their daily work.
- Research, design and produce written instructor and student materials.
- Assess learning needs of target audience in support of organizational strategy processes and identified competencies.
- Identify knowledge and skill gaps and develop training strategies to close the gaps.
- Conduct post instruction outcome evaluations measuring effectiveness of training programs.
- Establish collaborative working relationships with peers, students, project teams and management.
- Leads training portion of regional system implementation projects.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, nursing, related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-A minimum of 5years ofexperience in a corporate/education training/staff development position OR experience in working in an EMR healthcare environment providing clinical care (to include staff and or patient education).
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply adult learning theory and principles in a computer classroom training environment.
- Understanding of the instructional design and content development process.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Ability to act as a facilitator in the classroom setting as well as on cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching/training a clinical information system such as EMR, Lab, Pharmacy etc. EMR experience highly preferred.
- Clinical experience.
- Experience creating Web and Virtual Based Training
