GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for performing research and analysis to support business operations requirements. Develops business critical recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts analysis of business operations processes and functional requirements. Prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.
- Evaluates existing business processes and recommends efficient, cost-effective solutions which support the business operations and functional requirements.
- Participates in cross-functional project teams to identify and document functional requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution paths, and system specifications.
- Develops business cases with cost, service, and benefit dimensions that are used for funding and scope decisions.
- Applies business and technical knowledge to analyze business operational software application requirements to ensure requirements are incorporated into system design and testing.
- May support system enhancements, business user testing coordination, system conversions, and/or new business acquisitions/implementations.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (3-5 years) experience in data analysis in a customer service environment within the health care insurance industry.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of health care business and care delivery processes.
