Qualifications
Required skills/experience:
- Bachelors of Science degree
- 3 + years experience as a Business Analyst (BA) (or similar IT role)
- Proven ability to understand the full implications of a business request and how it can/should fit into an existing or new application
- Ability to effectively interface with business partners, development teams and customers on both a technical and non-technical level
- Experience in listening to and translating business needs into multiple solution possibilities via written proposals
- Previous experience working on IT projects, scoping business needs, processes improvement opportunities, defining capabilities, testing need and plans for adoption within organizations
- Provide leadership to a team of BA for work prioritization, developing solutions, and support post launch.
- Create and maintain specification documents to enable development teams to create the software.
- A self starter, able to achieve results with limited direction
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to adhere to operational standards
- Agility and the ability to work in ambiguous situations
- Ability to multi-task and work on several diverse tasks across multiple applications simultaneously
- Able to work in a team environment
Desired skills/experience:
- Knowledge and experience with Field Testing operations and systems
- Previous experience working on IT projects, scoping our business needs, process improvement opportunities, defining capabilities, testing need and plans for adoption within organizations
- Strong analytical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Previous experience with agricultural or biotechnology IT product development
- Knowledge and experience with the Business Objects toolset
- Experience creating GUI prototypes and Business Process Modeling
- Experience writing Test Driven Requirements and Use Case Scenarios
- Knowledge of databases and the ability to create simple to moderately complex SQL statements
