To plan, organize, direct, & evaluates rehabilitation services (e.g. PT, OT).
Essential Functions:
- Manages day-to-day clinical operations of the Physical & Occupational Therapy Department taking accountability for quality management of staff & departmental operations.
- Provides a minimum 40% direct patient care including the initial evaluation, determination of the treatment program, implementation of the treatment program, following up w/ patient, & re-evaluations.
- Monitors & prioritizes departmental workflows.
- Is responsible for all aspects of appointment access to include oversight for the supply & demand of appointments.
- Manages leave requests & KRONOS activities.
- Manages referral queue to ensure that 80% of the members receive their appointments w/in 10 days from the date of their referral.
- Demonstrates skill in customer service, interpersonal communications, & team building.
- Ensures compliance w/ regulatory requirements.
- Develops goals & objectives, establishes & implements policies & procedures for the department as needed.
- Ensures services are in compliance w/ professional standards, state, & federal regulatory requirements.
- Interviews, hires, trains & manages all department personnel. Develops standrds of behavioral performance & clinical competencies. Evaluates personnel based on established standards & competencies.
- Disciplines & implements corrective action in accordance to established personnel policies.
- Provide clinical direction to staff.
- Identifies & responds to member needs.
- Ensures ongoing professional development for self, clinical staff, support staff & student affiliates.
- Promotes loyalty & morale by creating a climate that encourages professional development, individual creativity, innovation & a high level of productivity.
- Develops, coordinates & manages the non payroll & payroll budgets.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in clinical physical therapy setting required.
- 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum w/ a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate's degree required.
- Physical therapy license in the appropriate jurisdiction required.
- Successfully be able to perform core competencies completely.
- Demonstrates leadership skills & problem-solving abilities.
- Travel for product training & certification followed by occasional travel required.
