Manages a project team which is responsible for all phases of the system development & implementation process including analysis, design, development, testing, & ongoing support for the client area application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environment (e.g.,, host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technology, tools, etc.
Essential Functions:
- Consults w/ clients in the analysis of short & long range business requirements & recommends innovations which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements
- Coordinates activities w/ other data processing unit heads, data base, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc
- Organizes, analyses, & controls the activities of the project team
- Assigns personnel to the various projects & directs their activities
- Reviews & evaluates the work of the staff & prepares periodic performance reports
- Prepares activity & progress reports for the team
- Leads cross functional team projects & provides IT consulting services
- Coordinates & ensures delivery of services & support from KPIT for NFS applications & initiatives
- Responsible for detailed planning for development schedule, budget, staffing & approach
- Tracks & reports development status (schedule, budget, milestones, metrics, key events, risks, & issues) to appropriate director
- Establishes development standards & processes
- Ensures that all personnel are trained on processes & standards

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science or related field.
- Usually six (6) years' relevant experience.
- Excellent analytical ability, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Project management skills with ability to lead mid-size project or multiple small projects demonstrating success with increasingly complex projects.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Responsibilities will include Testing of ePIMS, Legacy PIMS, POS.

- Position will be located in Downey, CA; Position will include travel within the California Region and other Regions outside of California.
