To ensure a safe and secure environment for KPNW staff, members, and visitors through collaboration and effective use of security personnel and security systems.
Essential Functions:
- Supervision, performance management and development of officer staff.
- Directs all Security responses to emergency situations.
- Coordinates response with local Administration, Dept. and Building Managers.
- Oversees development of post orders for staff.
- Develops and maintains operational procedures for Security department.
- Demonstrates collaboration with staff in the development of orders, department policies and procedures.
- Acts as lead investigator in Regional Security incidents.
- Reviews and trends incidents and security issues.
- Develops recommendations to address findings and reports out to Regional Leadership.
- Develop and maintain positive community relations with local law enforcement and community leaders in an effort to help insure community support when needed, i.e. disaster management.
- Works directly with Regional Security Director in development of Security Services budget for specific area of responsibility to ensure cost effective management.
- Manages and is responsible for maintaining all areas of compliance as it pertains to Security including but not limited to The Joint Commission/Environment of Care Security Management plan.
- Provides On-Call Management support for department as scheduled.
- Leads Regional threat management processes and coordinates response with HR, EAP, Compliance, NW Perm and Member Relations.
- Responsible for ensuring confidentiality and appropriate retention of threat management and security incident reports for area of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of Security, Law Enforcement or Military supervision experience.
- Five (5) years of experience in Security operations to include knowledge of Security force supervision and Security Systems.
- Associate's degree or two (2) years of equivalent experience.
- Current and valid Oregon or Washington driver's license.
- Possess and/or be able to obtain State of Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards & Training Certification within ninety (90) days of employment.
- Thorough knowledge of Security operations.
- Basic knowledge of Security Systems.
- Excellent written/oral communication skills.
- Basic computer skills to include data base management and reporting systems.
- Proficient in incident reporting systems and incident tracking with trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of Security or Law Enforcement Management preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Completion of Oregon DPSST Training preferred.
- CPP or CHPA Certification preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Security Operations and practices preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Security Systems to include CCTV, Access Control and BA/FA preferred.
- Effective Supervisory techniques preferred.
- Excellent People skills preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) preferred.
- Crisis intervention skills preferred.
- Extensive computer skills preferred.
- Investigative skills preferred.
Salary Range:
$66,740 - $91,460
