This position will lead the implementation and development of frontline teams, regarding performance improvement projects, guided by patient-centered care and the strategic plan for the Georgia Region. He/She will facilitate the existing teams and formulation of new teams to drive performance improvement objectives, while establishing and analyzing metrics to track desired outcomes. This position also Provides mentoring, coaching, and training to teams in the systematic use and application of the Kaiser Permanente Performance Institute curriculum, team development, and process improvement methodologies.

Essential Functions:
- Facilitate the implementation and development of teams comprised of frontline clinical staff members, led by a physician, nursing, and labor triad, where appropriate.
- Provide process improvement expertise and coach teams using Kaiser Permanente's Rapid Improvement Model (based on Lean, Six Sigma, and PDSA).
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, physicians, and the Region's represented employees, UFCW Local 1996 staff and Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Union (CKPU) staff.
- Exercise analytical skills to assess data and assist teams in interpretation of performance improvement data.
- Utilize and model strong facilitation skills for team development.
- Deliver training curriculum to current and new teams.
- Advocate the work of PI teams:
- Engage and support Sponsors, Champions, and Executive Leaders
- Develop and deliver presentations to various audiences within Kaiser Permanente.
- Develop reports and articles for publication.
- Provide PI consultation as a resource to the greater organization.
- Collaborate with and contribute to peer group via shared learning and continuous improvement to drive improved performance and outcomes within PI Advisor team.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Health Systems Engineering, Business, Management, Healthcare Administration or Equivalent Experience in related field.
- 5-7 years progressive experience in process improvement required, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- 3-5 years presentation and team training and facilitation experience.
- Strong data analysis ability.

Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or MHA
- Six Sigma certification
- Lean certification
- CPHQ certification
- Experience working with organized labor
- Healthcare experience
- Experience with IHI or Intermountain Health programs
