GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for working closely with the senior management team to develop and execute a variety of community outreach, media, and public relations programs to support the health plan’s marketing efforts for Coventry’s government programs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the collaboration of government program coordination by directing outreach staff to insure the marketing plan(s) comply with State contract guidelines.
- Assists with the development of all marketing and promotional materials. Ensures all materials receive approval by the State.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive marketing plans for the health plan’s community relations activities to promote regional government program membership growth and retention. These plans will include advertising, direct mail, product enhancement and development, and benefit design.
- Identifies key community organizations and coordinates efforts to participate, educate and promote the health plan(s) presence within the community.
- Develops and implements programs for each region to generate media coverage.
- Coordinates community and public relations events.
- May manage the government programs eligibility determination and recertification staff.
- Manages the department budget. Controls expenses while meeting performance requirements.
- Recruits, develops, and motivates staff. Initiates and communicates a variety of personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews, salary reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum (7-10 years) experience in community relations or related field.
- Previous (1-3 years) supervisory or project lead experience.
- Demonstrated copy writing and proofreading skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills; ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting
- deadlines.
