The Senior Analyst, Market Insights is responsible:
To provide key functional support to new product, base business and new business development forecasting projects, along with related business analysis, tracking, and score-carding within the Global Business Insights Center of Excellence team (GBI).
To support tactical and strategic forecasting for the Energy Global Business Insights Business Unit team.
To serve as a representative on the Business Unit Insight team providing tactical support to the Global Strategic Marketing and US Marketing Teams as needed
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
With supervision, provide analytical support to the function by building and maintaining forecasting models, tracking mechanisms, and applying innovative approaches to current forecasting practices; interface with internal and external business partners and will require a high degree of business acumen and understanding; support analytical learning and insight needs across the Energy business, and recommend tools and technique to support marketplace understanding and opportunity areas across the business. The Energy business delivers over $1 billion in WW sales currently, and is expected to experience solid growth over the next 5 to 7 years.
With supervision, build and maintain statistical forecast models; work with external partners to provide additional forecasting support as needed; interpret data from multiple/disparate sources, synthesize, provide recommendations, and compile reports; perform ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed; demonstrate an ability to influence multiple stakeholders to ensure that appropriate conclusions from analytics are represented; perform secondary data requests (eg IMS Data pulls) as needed to support specific business requests.
Support Business Unit Insight Team in: flawless execution of all projects, processes and activities as required to drive the success of the business; compilation of product and platform forecasts and market share reporting; presentation of findings to insight and Business Unit teams; assistance in proactively providing fact based insights and analytics programs to address strategic business needs; ensuring that models are complete with latest competitive information; supporting education and dissemination of existing knowledge estate and market information for key Business Unit partners; maintaining external strategic partnerships for data analysis and systems; ensuring that new products and programs are customer-centric and set up for high impact; serving as an objective steward of the business.

Qualifications
BS or BA in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics or related field is required; MBA or MS in Marketing Research (or related program) preferred. A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience forecasting, business analytics, finance or a related field is required. Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare field is preferred, but not required. Proven track record of working in a matrix environment where a high degree of collaboration is needed. Excellent personal leadership, collaboration, communication and analytical skills are required. Ability to support cross-functional teams. Ability to understand, translate and integrate forecasting and secondary data sources is required. Strong analytic and critical thinking skills required. Able to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines. Working knowledge of forecasting and secondary data is required. Additionally, some knowledge of marketing research and competitive intelligence data is preferred. Knowledge of secondary data sources and associated software is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in creative problem solving and team partnership is required. Due to the nature of information reviewed in the role, candidate must demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills are required. Strong project management skills are required. Expert knowledge of and experience with SAS and Microsoft EXCEL are required. Additional experience with other analytical tools is preferred. Additional working knowledge of WORD, and PowerPoint are required.
