The Director, Human Resources leads the strategy development and operational implementation of major Organizational Development (OD) and Talent Management initiatives including organizational effectiveness approaches, leadership development strategies and programs, talent management and succession planning processes, change management drivers and is a proven champion and expert in organizational development/effectiveness, leadership development and change management. This Organization Effectiveness and Development leader must be able to diagnose, design and deliver organizational strategies that enable the organization to thrive during various courses of its lifecycle. To facilitate the growth culture within Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. (OCD), he or she must lead the organization's workforce assessment and development processes through provided processes, tools, systems, methods, and communications. While working within designing an organization and culture that drives innovation and employee engagement, this role must be able to consult, challenge, and influence senior management to align people, processes, and practices with business objectives. In addition, to drive talent management and leadership development, this position will partner with the organization and Human Resource (HR) leaders to grow diverse leadership, talent, and technical capability pipelines in the business for the future as well as design, develop, and implement talent management and leadership development interventions that address succession planning and talent pipeline needs / gaps. Coaching and challenging leaders and strategic talent to influence and enhance their personal leadership and performance to deliver optimum business results will be a key deliverable. This position will work in collaboration with Global Talent Management to ensure alignment where appropriate. The Director, HR must be a strong advocate of change management. Partnering with the business and Human Resource leaders in management of large-scale change and transformation initiatives will be a critical responsibility. Building core curriculum for culture and change management initiatives will be essential. Methods for change management will need to be embedded in the culture to help support successful implementation of desired business processes and effectively identify and manage change issues. This role will also be the OCD Franchise Diversity Champion.

Key Accountabilities include: Drives all talent management initiatives and processes for OCD; Develops and implement leadership development strategy; Works with senior leadership team to develop and implement effective succession plans to include senior leadership talent pools; Collaborates with leadership to drive a highly engaged culture; Builds assessment/organizational capability process within the organization; Partners with senior leadership to develop a communication strategy that supports organization and talent initiatives; Ensures messages align to strategic change initiatives and the Credo and Works closely with HR to deliver change management tools and methods. Identifies critical leadership, stakeholder management and communications plans.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required. An Advanced Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Organizational Psychology or related studies is preferred. A minimum of 10 years HR experience or overall business experience in related field is required. A minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in Organizational Development, Talent and/or Change Management is required. Experience consulting with senior executive teams and global HR Leadership teams to problem solve and identify leadership, talent and capability gaps and subsequently design and implement organizational capability, leadership and talent development plans is required. Strong leadership as well as collaboration and partnership skills with multiple stakeholders is critical to this role. Experience working in a global, highly matrixed and complex organization is required. Demonstrated track record in leading large scale change initiatives, influencing senior leadership and sustaining positive changes in the organization and leading cultural transformation and change management is required. Demonstrated record of developing methods and tools to support strategic Organizational Development work (toolkits, approaches, etc.) is required. Ability to communicate clearly and to articulate personal approaches to change and organizational development is required. Flexibility and agility is required with the corresponding ability to drive processes and provide expert consultation. Proven track record of ability to deliver results on both strategic and tactical objectives with a sense of urgency in a collaborative environment is required. Demonstrated capacity to skillfully communicate with all levels of employees, influence outcomes and establish credibility as a skilled HR professional and business partner is required. Effective project management skills demonstrated through delivery of high quality output with clear deadlines and limited hands-on direction is required. Demonstrated creative problem solving and a high level of discernment and confidentiality is required. Experience leading diversity initiatives is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills are required. This position requires approximately 20% domestic and/or global travel.
