Description

Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is currently recruiting for a Compensation Manager in Raritan/Titusville, NJ.

The Compensation Manager will provide strategic consultation and compensation support primarily for the NA Commercial organization and will report to the Compensation Director - Pharmaceutical Sector. The Manager will provide analysis of business issues and development of solutions in support of stakeholder needs, and will be the primary contact with other specialist groups and BBHR for all aspects of compensation.

This role will also partner with global Total Rewards leadership/team members in design and roll-out of new compensation programs and will assist in conducting change impact analysis around compensation strategy decisions and pay outcomes.

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to: The Compensation Manager provides consultation to Recruiting, BBHR and line leaders with respect to compensation matters, including but not limited to job evaluation and leveling, new hire packages, LTI valuations, and equity analyses. He/she manages the day-to-day assigned project work within the client area. Additionally, he/she partners with compensation leadership to ensure regional consistency and early identification of key issues at the NA level. The Compensation Manager ensures appropriate documentation of all activities, including but not limited to detailed policy/program issues requiring global/regional HR leadership agreement/approval and/or business leadership approval. He/she engages other stakeholders, both within and across functional areas, as needed, in the development/roll-out or modification of compensation policy/programs. Additionally, he/she performs analyses of compensation practices to ensure competitive posture of programs and policies. He/she also works with 3rd party consultants on an as needed basis. He/she provides support associated with the due diligence and integration phases of mergers and acquisitions, as well as with internal reorganizations, downsizings and divestitures as needed. The Compensation Manager partners effectively with regional compensation leadership in conducting change impact analysis around compensation strategy decisions and pay outcomes. He/she also participates in determining regional metrics and other reporting requirements for compensation.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required. A Masters degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a compensation and HR equivalent role is required. Experience leading cross-functional and cross-business teams is preferred. Candidate must be culturally sensitive, drive for results, be articulate and have demonstrable leadership skills. Excellent compensation research and quantitative business skills are required. Facilitation and project management experience is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of software products, database and HRIS systems and reporting tools is preferred. Advanced Excel skills preferred. Experience in working and supporting a global organization is preferred. Approximately 10% travel to different sites within NA is expected. This position is located in Raritan/Titusville, NJ.
