JOB TITLE: Associate Process Technologist
DEPARTMENT: DePuy Ireland
REPORTS TO: Inventory & Logistics Team Lead

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for support of the DePuy Cork PP&L function and implementation & support products ensuring Quality, Operational, Process Improvement and Product Development/Transfer issues and projects are implemented in an efficient and effective manner that minimizes risk and assures equivalent levels are maintained.

ORGANISATIONAL INTERFACES:
All Disciplines within the Manufacturing Facility, outside suppliers and staff across DePuy Orthopaedic sites & J & J companies.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
ุ Support the inspections of machined components, assemblies and castings to support Receiving Inspection,
validations, and process improvement activities.
ุ Support the inspection of all raw materials including packaging purchased by DePuy Cork.
ุ Will perform open set-up inspections utilizing a variety of inspection equipment and visual
standards. Mechanical inspection will be performed
ุ Support First Article Inspection activity including document review and report writing.
ุ Support DePuy Cork continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
ุ Lead and Support the investigation and close out of NC, Internal Audit and CAPA activities for the DePuy
Cork PP&L (Purchasing, Planning & Logistics) function.
ุ Work closely with Supplier Quality and Manufacturing Quality to investigate and compliantly close out any
Non Conformances in relation to goods received or RI activities.
ุ Lead and support FDA, BSI and other audit preparation activities for the PP&L function as required.
ุ Resolve problems & eliminate constraints to ensure project and supply targets are met.
ุ Promote continuous improvement and Process Excellence activities.
ุ Maintain standards of housekeeping & GMP requirements
ุ Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled.

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL:
- Third level engineering qualification (Certificate Level, College Degree, or Equivalent) preferably in a mechanical
or quality discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience in within a Medical Device Company.
- Knowledge of applicable production processes
- Previous experience of product transfers/start up
DESIRABLE:
- Process Excellence - Green belt certification
- ISO 9001 Internal/External Auditor or ASQ Certification as an Auditor.
- Experienced in SPC, Product Validation and ISO 13485.
- Previous People management experience
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of Orthopaedic products and manufacturing processes
