We are currently seeking a Meeting Planner;

This person will spend a majority of their time handling registration and housing process for meetings, conventions and workshops that DePuy Synthes Raynham companies participate in or host. They will enter registration data, produce all of the housing reports, registration lists and badges, track attendance and maintain meeting history in the meeting database (ISIS Gold System) for the department. They will send out registration/housing announcements, prepare meeting profiles and other communications as needed.

Also, this person will assist with compiling information and reports for Totality (HCC Database) and sales lead administration.

Individual will process and manage purchase order payments in the Ariba system as well ensure HCP reporting is completed properly.

In addition, individual will plan and handle logistics including food/beverage, audio visual, transportation, etc. as needed for smaller (10 - 75 person) meetings including surgeon trainings, sales meetings, sales training programs, company meetings, and will assist with larger programs. This Meeting Planner will also assist with badge distribution and attendee management for programs onsite as needed including managing dinner reservations and ground transportation. They will work within budget guidelines and monitor spending; negotiate favorable rates and contracts with suppliers.

Individual will interact with Sales and Marketing Management, Administrators, Professional Education, Convention Services and Society Contacts to coordinate program development and ensure their requirements are met.

Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hrs per day. 25% travel required.

Qualifications


Bachelors Degree in hospitality and/or meeting management and 2-7 years meeting & event experience required. Candidate should have strong skills in managing a database, corporate meeting planning experience including meeting registration systems, logistics and onsite management preferred. Experience organizing professional education programs preferred. Office 2007 experience, meeting/exhibit knowledge, and medical device background is a plus. Key performance areas include experience with coordinating multiple projects at once and working with all levels of associates to ensure their needs are met. Strong communication skills, flexible attitude and ability to function as a member of a team required. Individual should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with responsibility for meetings that may occur on a 24-hour, 7-day a week basis. Must have the ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including weekends is a requirement.
