In addition to developing and producing a range of test strips for diabetic populations, we also design and develop meters and other related devices for the management and control of diabetes. Role Profile: Leader of continuous improvement activities and "CAPA" activities using statistical techniques, Lean manufacturing tools, Six Sigma and design experimentation for process and equipment to achieve targets and cost savings. Provide technical mentoring and/or coaching of people skills to other engineering staff. Will be responsible for ensuring that equipment and process safety ensuring JNJ standards are met or exceeded at all times.
Lead the technical support for manufacturing, continuous improvement and "CAPA" projects on manufacturing equipment
Projects:
- Utilising Process Excellence and Lean Manufacturing tools
- Demonstrating decision-making capability, logical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Establish/Maintain/Analyse Engineering metrics
- Provide technical input to ongoing improvements
- Provide technical consultation/direction to manufacturing when required
- Effective communication to all project stakeholders
- Upgrade existing Process/Equipment to improve, Quality, Throughput, Yield and layout
- Manage contractors
- Ensure ongoing training of Operations technicians and Eng technicians
Mentoring and coaching of PCO teams:
- Continuous improvement of preventative maintenance program
- Improve problem solving and fault diagnosis skills within the PCO
- Training of Operations Engineers and technicians
Ensure good relationships are maintained with equipment suppliers and service providers:
- Develop partnerships/relationships with external sources
- Materials Suppliers
- Professional bodies
- Consultancies
Lead new product and/or process introduction into manufacturing:
- Lead validation programs
- Execute change control
- Drive and manage change
- Ensure
- Design for manufacture
- Maintainability

Qualifications
Qualification:
Engineering / Science degree with experience in a manufacturing environment
Essentail:
Materials Performance in high volume processing
Training/Mentoring experience
Validation of process and process improvment
Previous experience in a high volume-manufacturing environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Equipment acceptance documentation (Validation)
Good Manufacturing Practice
Demonstrated Project Management/Leadership skills
Technical Leadership skills
