The Senior Scientist will participate in analytical activities related to the Support to Marketed Product group. This individual will have a diverse chemistry expertise with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in HPLC and UPLC method development, organic chemistry, UV-VIS, dissolution and wet chemistry techniques. Write technical documents including analytical method development histories, method validation protocols and reports, and stability reports in compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements. Participate on cross-functional development teams. Recruit and mentor junior analytical Scientists.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors or a Masters in Science in analytical chemistry or a closely related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience OR a PhD in analytical chemistry or a related field is required. Experience in a FDA regulated environment is highly desired. Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot, define, execute, and document experiments needed to resolve laboratory investigations preferred. A strong background in HPLC, UV-VIS and Dissolution is required. Experience with UPLC and wet chemistry techniques preferred. Experience utilizing these techniques common to the pharmaceutical industry relative to method development, method transfer and validation, and stability analysis is desired. This individual must have a good working knowledge of computer systems, including chromatographic data acquisition systems, LIMS, MS Word and MS Excel. Exceptional oral and written communication skills required. A working knowledge of statistics is strongly desired. This position will require up to 10% domestic and international travel. This position will be located in Fort Washington, PA.
