This position will be responsible for next generation catheter platform designs. The engineer will be a member of a research and development team responsible for developing and executing in-vivo and in-vitro test systems and simulations to test new catheter designs. The responsibilities of this role will include developing, executing, and analyzing pre-clinical test strategies both internally and externally. The engineer will also be responsible for leading teams and providing guidance to lower level employees.

Qualifications


This position will require a minimum of a BS degree in engineering and five years of related engineering experience; or MS in engineering and three years of related engineering experience. This position will require the candidate possessing complex level engineering experience. Candidates who possess experience in the medical device industry are preferred. Candidates who possess experience with Minitab or other statistical software tools are also desired. Candidates are required to possess more than a basic understanding of engineering theoretical fundamentals and experimental techniques. In addition candidates are required to possess experience in handling conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. This position will require excellent written and verbal English communication skills. This position will require approximately 10-20% international and domestic travel. This position will be based in Irwindale, Ca.
