The National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL) presents an opportunity for a dynamic leader to join the organization as a Director. This is a part-time position. The Director ensures the success of the NCHL’s institutional membership programs, including the Leadership Excellence Networks (LENS) through efficient and effective oversight of programs and the development and implementation of successful strategies for membership growth. Responsibilities include oversight of LENS initiatives and projects, setting and implementing short and long term strategies, and producing top quality products and services. The Director reports to and collaborates with the NCHL CEO and Vice President to manage stakeholder and prospective stakeholder communications. He/she exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Director will work closely with NCHL’s key stakeholders, including LENS and LENS Council executives of human resources, learning, organizational development, and related leadership disciplines to drive a program of high value initiatives. The Director will have full responsibility for program planning, quality, customer satisfaction, and the development of tools and systems. He/she will play a key role in planning and facilitating the design and peer review processes. Areas of responsibility include:

  • Develop and implement new programs, services, projects, etc. as prioritized by LENS and LENS Councils.

  • Work with the CEO and Vice President to oversee workgroups of the LENS and LENS Councils to identify and implement innovative initiatives and programs, monitor LENS program performance, and pursue new business opportunities.

  • Manage efficient, high quality, and customer-oriented staff and administrative support for the LENS program.

  • Contribute creative and progressive thinking for NCHL programs.

  • In collaboration with the NCHL CEO, identify and pursue prospective members for the LENS and LENS Councils.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration or closely related field

  • 5 – 10+ years post-graduate management experience involving direct interface with senior executive leaders in healthcare and health industry settings. Relevant experience with professional associations is advantageous.

  • Experience successfully managing member relations with diverse, not-for-profit stakeholders.

  • Excellent project management and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
