To provide competent, high-quality prosthetic appliances to KPDCP membership that is aesthetically, phonetically and technically acceptable to the patient and PDA Peer Review.
Essential Functions:
- Clinical Skills
- Works independently to conduct oral examinations, consultations, prosthetic evaluations, cancer screening and recognition of adverse conditions. Provides reviews of members' medical history, x-rays, and treatment planning. Takes impressions, bite registrations, and makes tooth and shade selections. Fabricates acrylic and/or mental partials as prescribed by the dentist of record, including the clasping of live teeth from impressions to delivery. Achieves acceptable vertical dimension and proper occlusion. Performs post-operative adjustments and relines. Provides, as needed, direction to laboratory personnel regarding individual prosthetic appliance construction. Provides input to performance evaluation for their dental assistant if applicable. Adheres to program infection control guidelines.

- Assures customer satisfaction by anticipating members' needs. Contributes to the improvement of materials, systems, communication, and problem solving with good judgment that results in meeting and exceeding each member's needs. Provides necessary feedback and support to co-workers to assure that customer service happens.

- Achieves KPDCP clinical targets as they relate to financial goals, access and productivity.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Two years previous experience as a Licensed Denturist.
Completion of all course and clinical requirements requisite for successful achievement of the Oregon Board Exams.
- Oregon and/or Washington State Certified Denturist License.
- High level of manual dexterity.
- Proficient in use of high-speed lathes and dental handpieces.
- Proficient use of semi-adjustable and fully adaptable articulators.
- Full understanding of the geography of the mouth including mandibular movement and interarch relationships.
- Ability to provide laboratory direction in the evaluation and assessment of prosthetic appliance functionality.
- Ability to take an accurate impression that demonstrates appropriate freeway space and centric relationship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four years as a Licensed Denturist.
Oral Pathology Certificate.

Salary Range:
$63,450 - $79,950




External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.
