Assist KPNW members and physicians utilize Oregon and Washington's Death with Dignity act. Serve as expert, single point of contact for internal and community providers, state agencies, and volunteer organizations.

Essential Functions:
- Assist appropriate KPNW members access OR or WA death with dignity act within parameters of the law and Kaiser Permanente policy.
- Assist KPNW physicians complete the death with dignity process in accordance with state laws and Kaiser Permanente policy.
- Coordinate process with other KPNW staff as needed.
- Serve as point of contact with community and state agencies re: death with dignity.
- Update and maintain death with dignity policy and prepare yearly report for Regional Ethics Council.
- Maintain accurate records including documentation in HealthConnect.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- One (1) to three (3) years working in health care or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in social services, psychology, communications, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills directed at a wide variety of people.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Prioritize and then work independently.
- Able and willing to learn new computer programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) to three (3) years working with patient/families at the end of life preferred.
- One (1) to three (3) years in program development preferred.
- Experienced public speaker preferred.
- Advanced studies in psychology, social services, or health care preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Oregon & Washington Death with Dignity law preferred.
- Able to use computer programs such as Power Point, Excel, and Epic preferred.

Salary Range: $20.81 - $33.22
