Description

Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Inc, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for two Operator 2 positions located in our Reagents Manufacturing in Rochester, NY.

Ortho Clinical Diagnostics provides high-quality in vitro medical testing products that help people recover and maintain health throughout the world. OCD serves the transfusion medicine community and laboratories around the world as a leading provider of total solutions for screening, diagnosing, monitoring and confirming diseases early, before they put lives at risk.

The Operator 2 position will be required to operate equipment manufacturing machinery and inspections of slides and cartridges within the slide manufacturing organization. Conduct basic quality inspection of work in accordance with procedures by performing operations as described by SOP's under cGMP's. Work closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities. Maintain equipment in proper working order. Maintain individual training records. Follow safety procedures and practices. Maintain a clean orderly work environment. Communicate problems to supervisor, technician or engineer and work closely with peers within small teams. Accurately complete manufacturing documentation that provides complete acceptable quality records. Works with computer controlled equipment and processes. May perform other duties as assigned. Work hours may fall during week-ends also, are usually four 12 hour days, with two daytime shift, two night shift, then four days off before starting four 12 hour days (2 days, 2 nights) again.

Qualifications


A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 6 months of related experience within a manufacturing environment is required. Experience in a regulated industry is preferred. Experience in inspection is preferred. Experience in slide manufacturing and/or packaging line machine is preferred. Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts and overtime hours as needed is required. Strong dependability is required. Strong proficiency in computers is required (especially Microsoft Office Suite) is required. SAP is preferred. Knowledge of specialized testing and measuring equipment is preferred. Strong communication skills, reading, writing and team interaction skills are also required.
