Description
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, a member of Johnson & Johnson Family of companies, is currently recruiting for a Sr. Site Manager, External Manufacturing for OTC North America business, to be located in Fort Washington, PA.
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, ROLAIDS® antacid products, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants.
The Sr. Site Manager, External Manufacturing will function like a General Manager for 3rd party external manufacturing sites. This role is responsible to achieve, through Process Excellence tools, metrics as detailed by McNeil strategic imperatives as they relate to LIFR, Compliance, Safety & Environmental, Cost, DOS, Sales and Launch Goals. The Site Manager will establish and maintain a high level of competence while implementing innovative solutions to establish world class standards at contractor facilities.
The Sr. Site Manager will negotiate, develop and manage multi-disciplined contracts; track and manage business results and broadly communicate results. The Site Manager will lead multi-discipline teams to execute supply strategies for 3rd party manufactured products to meet company financial, speed to market, continuous supply, and consent decree goals.
The Sr. Site Manager will mange implementation of product launch plans at contractors, in coordination with the Technical Development group, to ensure that product is available within pre determined timeframe. Will develop and manage implementation plans for line extensions and product launches as well as packaging changes and brand extensions with J&J affiliates and contract manufacturers. Will manage cross-functional teams to meet customer timelines while maintaining site compliance goals.
The Site Manager will be responsible for initial and periodic strategic analysis of 3rd party external manufacturers overall process capabilities (financial, technical, compliance and safety) to minimize risk to the supply chain and long term supply. The Sr. Site Manager will be responsible to assess contractor capacity and capabilities to support sourcing and ensure McNeil OTC supply needs can be met and will also ensure business continuity plans remain current.
The Sr. Site Manager partners and collaborates with other J&J companies, Process Owners, Departmental Heads, Vice Presidents, General Managers, and supplier senior management regarding strategy, decision making, issue resolution and process improvements. Identifies and delivers on Cost Improvement Projects or cost avoidance plans that result in overall value to supply chain. Identifies opportunities and leads efforts to bring product in-house and/or consolidate sites to gain volume leverage, cost effectiveness and reduce complexity. Benchmarks with other external companies and industries to identify improvements and best in class processes to support External Manufacturing.
The Site Manager will establish performance metrics and performance targets for contractor with the goal of improving processes and systems and eliminating redundancies. Track, reconcile and report results as required. Will develop and negotiate supply agreements and/or contracts holding all organizations accountable. Align systems and metrics through agreement(s) and manage compliance to contract. This includes performing competitive cost analysis, overall cost management and identification of cost reduction opportunities.

Qualifications
A minimum of a BA/BS degree is required. A degree in Engineering, Business, or other related technical discipline is preferred. MBA or advanced degree is preferred. At least 10 years of experience in any of the Supply Chain functions: Operations, Planning, Technical Operations, and/or Quality is required. At least 5 years Pharmaceutical and/or OTC manufacturing experience is required. External manufacturing experience is required. Experience in contract negotiations is preferred. Finance knowledge with solid business acumen and experience is preferred.
Previous experience managing people and/or projects is preferred. Training and /or certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma or Process Excellence familiarity is required. Strong written and verbal communications skills are required. Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and collaborations across functions as well as influence stakeholders is required. Ability to deliver results and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision is necessary. Proficiency is Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
This position will be based in Fort Washington, PA and may require approximately 40% travel.
