Cordis Corporation, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is looking for a Product Director, Global New Product Marketing - Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA) & Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA). This position will be based in Fremont, CA.

Given this significant unmet need and tremendous opportunity to help patients around the world, we are searching for individual to fill an important marketing position within our newly formed Global New Product Marketing function to lead our strategic marketing efforts around Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA) & Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA).

SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

As mentioned above, the Product Director, Global New Product Marketing - PTA / PTCA, is an important position within the new Global New Product Marketing Team at Cordis. This talented individual will develop & execute the global new product marketing strategy for our PTA / PTCA portfolio.

The individual selected for this role will be responsible for the development of our PTA / PTCA product portfolio strategy, resulting roadmap and launch of the respective new products & product iterations on a worldwide basis. This position will serve as a member on the PTA / PTCA Product development core teams interfacing with multiple functions including, R&D, Clinical & Regulatory, Education & Training and Supply Chain among others. He / She will become a product expert on the PTA / PTCA product lines and work closely with our regional commercial marketing partners around the world to drive revenue growth and market share gains. This talented individual will identify unmet needs in PTA / PTCA through the design and execution of global Voice of Customer (VOC) activities and will translate these needs into Critical to Quality areas (CTQs) and subsequently will lead the development of the product requirements and Target Product Profiles. He / She will develop new product value propositions (positioning, price, and promotion) for products in the PTA / PTCA portfolio and will also launch these products globally. Product launch responsibility includes collateral / branding development, delivering product training at global training programs, and collaboration with regional commercial marketing teams and internal education to ensure field proficiency during product launches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and manages strategic new product marketing plans and programs for our PTA / PT(C)A product lines to grow the business and meet/exceed global Business Plan forecasts
Represents the marketing function on cross-functional new product core teams
Work closely with R&D to develop next generation PTA / PT(C)A products and procedural techniques / workflows to ensure Cordis maximizes the opportunity in the PTA / PT(C)A market segment
Accountable for developing marketing plans for all new PTA / PT(C)A products worldwide in alignment with commercial groups
Develop financial models supporting PTA / PT(C)A New Product Development Opportunities globally, taking into consideration regional variations & various stages of market maturity
Collaborate with Market Research Group for all competitive intelligence and competitive information related to the PTA / PT(C)A product portfolio
Collaborates with Business Development team to assess and recommend new market entry strategies in the PT(C)A space.
Designs product launch strategies, tactics, timelines and metrics for success
Executes aligned global product launch plans, including ,positioning, pricing & promotional aspects for new products
Formulates clinical claims development for new products, working with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations
Delivers product training at global launch training programs
Ensures product knowledge is effectively transferred to commercial regional groups and field organizations
Ensures business continuity through demand planning and forecasting activities with regional commercial marketing partners
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws. Also responsible for following all Company regulations, policies and procedures
Performs other duties as needed

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Engineering or highly technical field required. Master's Degree in either business administration, engineering, or Marketing preferred

Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant business experience with prior experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry required

Prior Experience in a sales / product marketing role preferred.

Prior experience in a CV medical device firm strongly preferred.

Cardiology or Peripheral Vascular technology knowledge strongly preferred

Proven track record of success in pipeline strategy development, launch planning, market analysis / assessment strongly preferred
