Biosense Webster is currently recruiting for a Technician III, New Product Development to be located in Irwindale, CA.

The Technician III, New Product Development under close supervision, performs and documents somewhat simple technical functions relating to test, layout, quality control, fabrication, modification and assembly of electrical equipment and/or components. Performs electrical, electromechanical, developmental or optical technician duties in such areas as testing, engineering, development, where some judgment is required. Constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, tests and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems.

Utilizes a variety of standard developmental/manufacturing tests or diagnostic test equipment to check out, test, trouble shoot components, instruments, test apparatus and associated specific discipline equipment. May assist more senior technicians and engineers in specific discipline. Performs somewhat simple operational functional testing, troubleshooting and debugging of components and subassemblies systems to isolate faults and determine remedy for malfunctions. Documents all changes. Writes basic technical reports using graphs and schematics to describe and illustrate systems/tests operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations. Troubleshoots electrical or test systems, components, and equipment. Performs basic process/product tests and audits for conformity to quality and/or regulatory requirements. Performs self-inspections of own work. When applicable, follows standard operating procedures for all tasks. Maintains clean and orderly work area. Has completed all appropriate safety and environmental hazard training. Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level. Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.

Qualifications


A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical production/manufacturing environment is required. Experience using test and measurement equipment associated with specific discipline such as Digital Multi-meter and Oscilloscope is required. Basic ability to read and understand technical documentation associated with specific discipline. Ability to read, write communicate and understand English. Must be able to successfully complete company/department training courses in manufacturing techniques. Experience working with and understanding GMP requirements is preferred. Ability to learn to use PC's and associated software such as Excel and Word.
