This is a senior leadership role that reports directly to the VP of Sales. She/he will manage a team of sales account executives as well as a target account lists and their respective advertising agencies with a focus of driving to an individual and team revenue goal.
This position will be responsible for immediately driving new business opportunities, and managing and developing a team of sales account executives out of the NY office to drive greater than 12% revenue growth. This role will create and execute annual online sales strategy & revenue goal for the team and target account list, and create and facilitate senior level introductions and dialogue with agency leaders in NY. Candidate will be responsible to build and maintain strategic relationships with BabyCenter clients and agencies. This role will have Daily interaction with sales planning, sales marketing, ad operations and client services team in order drive against all aspects of sales strategy and initiatives. This position will be leading cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to manage and grow existing and new business opportunities.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required for this role. A minimum of 10 years of experience in digital sales, and 2 years of experience leading a sales team is required. Candidate must have senior level agency and client contacts within the CPG & Pharma categories. Seasoned sales professional with proven track record of driving and creating senior level relationships on both the agency and client side is required. Strategic leader and thinker with the ability to mentor and develop a team to foster thoughtful partnerships and exceed revenue goals is required. Demonstrate expert level of knowledge of advertiser marketing objectives in order to articulate persuasive solutions that solve client business challenges is a must. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously is required. Highly collaborative and a team player, working across internal and external teams is a must. Candidate must possess excellent communication and presentation skills. Self-starter who is energetic and persistent is required. This position is based in New York City, New York, and requires travel up to 25%.
