Wells Fargo Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS), a leading innovator in crop insurance, is seeking an experienced and technical individual to perform duties that will include designing, developing, and maintaining web based applications using VB.Net, ASP.Net, WebForms, XML, and Web Services. The candidate will be responsible for the development and enhancement of a product suite of applications used by RCIS for Crop Insurance policy servicing, quoting, mapping, and claims processing. The selected candidate will lead the development and implementation of highly complex internet and intranet applications on diverse platforms. Must be able to evaluate systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determine and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software solution. Duties will include developing original and/or complex code and providing guidance to less experienced staff. May lead and/or perform modeling, simulations and analysis efforts. Develops new documentation and develops new department technical procedures. Other duties include: * Provides direction, guidance, training, and mentoring to less experienced staff and contractors. * Uses knowledge of various technologies to lead projects resulting in functional enhancements of applications. * Researches and tracks new web technologies; develops service applications, and analyzes business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems. * Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. * Leads design presentations. Basic Qualifications: 7+ years web development experience which includes the programming/ development of web applications.
Minimum Qualifications: - 7+ years of experience in programming VB.Net, ASP.Net, XML, WebForms, and Web Services - 3+ years of experience with SQL development; proven ability to read and write complex SQL queries - 3+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting IIS, experience with jQuery, and with Microsoft Web Service Software Factory - Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server - Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of technical and non-technical skills sets (i.e. Developers, Project Managers and external Customers). - Proven ability to write complex code; including the planning of work from initiation through implementation while demonstrating the ability to meet project completion dates with acceptable levels of supporting documentation and software quality
Preferred Skills: - Experience with unit testing tools - Experience with performance tuning applications - Exposure to diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies - Exposure to Crop Insurance is beneficial, but not mandatory - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage expectations - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Self-starter, strong desire to learn, contribute and think creatively
