This Senior Manager will be responsible to build and manage a large technology infrastructure team (approximately 100-150 FTE s plus 10-20 contractors) with a broad scope of accountabilities specific to the infrastructure enablement of Private Cloud Services for Wells Fargo. This role will require a thoughtful senior leader with strong leadership and engineering skill sets specific to cloud technologies. The leader of this role must have experience in building complex engineering and support teams to be successful in this role. Additionally, this leader must have the senior level presence and communication abilities to partner with Service Delivery, Infrastructure Architecture, and Information Services Senior Leadership (CIO, and CTO level) along with Corporate Communications to market this new innovative service offering. This leader will also need to have the expertise to help guide engineering and support initiatives of other direct and indirect reporting managers to ensure a program discipline is leveraged for the design, engineering and timely build out and deployment of Cloud Infrastructure Services in all of Wells Fargo s Data Centers Globally. This position will manage a high-profile group responsible for the development of new hardware and software infrastructure, the processes, and policies which do not currently exist at Wells Fargo to enable this service. The leader will also be responsible to build the supporting team to manage the production and release services after deployment for Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service. This manager and his/her team will work closely with Information Services, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Service Delivery and Engineering Leaders to deliver on this new cross discipline capability. (Disciplines involved cover all aspects of infrastructure and software development domains). Additionally, this position will have accountability to ensure the operational resiliency is enabled and measurable to all ensure that SLA s are met on all levels with performance, capacity, availability and resiliency. As a result of these functions this team will also develop new financial models for the unit costing methodologies /charge-back for all distributed cloud technologies to our lines of businesses. This position will be responsible for influencing key organizations such as CIO, Enterprise Architecture and Technology Infrastructure Services partners on how to leverage these new Infrastructure Standard Services. In general this senior leader will manage the end-to-end business capabilities (technical, financial, organizational) of following engineering teams: - Cloud Development & Enablement - Cloud Support & Maintenance - Cloud Communications, Controls and Process Management
Basic Qualifications: 12+ years technology infrastructure or related technology experience that includes 7+ years management experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and/or large technology infrastructure components with broad scope of impact or a large non-development related technology function for a line of business.
- 15 plus years of IT experience in an application or infrastructure environment. - Deep understanding and experience in application development specifically of web based architectures - In depth knowledge of all aspects of Distributed Infrastructure, Operating Systems, and Related Software. - Has experience in deploying cloud solutions using in-house developed, open source , or commercial cloud suites - Experience in managing and supporting IaaS solutions cloud solutions - Understanding of SaaS and PaaS services and how to implement at a large enterprise - Deep understanding of infrastructure product management and development - Experience with SDLC for infrastructure and development frameworks - Experience managing Capital and Operational budgets exceeding 65M+ - Experience managing technical teams consisting of 50+ team members plus contractors - Strong knowledge of Cloud Technologies - In depth understanding of Virtualization Technologies (VMware, etc..) - Understanding of Data Center planning. - Extensive experience working with vendors on RFP s, RFI s, product roadmaps and financial negotiations - Deep understanding of project management principles and methodologies - Experience with cost allocation methodologies. - Excellent capabilities to prepare and present to Executive Level Business and Technology Leaders. - Consistently demonstrates the professional, technical, and management skills essential to effective performance in a senior management position. - Must have experience working with regulators, legal, and compliance and security experts for regulatory and security inquiries. - Good interpersonal and organizational skills. - Holds themselves to the highest standard of integrity and personal behavior. - Meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent skills as a team player and the ability to achieve success through others. - Mobilizes people by inspiring a sense of urgency and providing clear direction. - This position is accountable for meeting the Wells Fargo Core Competencies and any additional Divisional competencies. - The individual must have ability to operate effectively in a decentralized geographically dispersed organization and be results oriented. - Extensive experience working with vendors on RFP s, RFI s, product roadmaps and financial negotiations. - Excellent capabilities to prepare and present to Executive Level Business and Technology Leaders - Experience establishing priorities, managing and allocating appropriate people, as well as technology and financial resources to assure projects are completed within time and budget. - Serves as a role model demonstrating commitment to diversity and Wells Fargo s culture and core values.
Preferred Skills: - Bachelor and Graduate degree a plus - Web based application and infrastructure automation development preferred - Offshore experience preferred
