Our Mortgage Team: Supports the nation s leading originator and servicer of residential mortgages. Responsible for managing a decision-strategies or a reporting and analysis function within a business group or functional area. Evaluates, recommends and implements strategies for developing and utilizing technical resources to enable initiatives/projects that predict, improve and measure business success. This requires a full understanding of business objectives and underlying drivers to embed them into data management processes. Responsibilities include working with clients to define information needs and translating them into specific data requirements to support business initiatives and projects; determining the required capabilities, tools and data, leveraging/developing multiple internal or external information sources; managing and prioritizing multiple complex projects and project teams; and maintaining necessary processes, controls and procedures to insure data accuracy and integrity. Ensures adherence to data management regulations and policies. Manages a professional of analytic consultants. Specific Job Responsibilities: Oversee and review forecasting of marketing gain loss across capital markets finance. Responsible for managing the forecasting methodologies, assumptions, results and reporting. Work directly with VPs and SVP of FP&A on gaps/opportunities. Provide regular communication on current state of marketing gain loss views. Coordinate a consolidated view/communication of marketing gain loss across the company including business line, top of house, capital markets. Primary contact for FP&A on P&L indications. Provide backtesting (trending or analyses) of forecasting assumptions for marketing gain loss to capital markets business managers to aid in understanding of the impacts of the profiles, assumptions within QRM, trading activities on the P&L or P&L generated as a result of certain activities. (included in above) Identify and research new P&L issues as they arise, directing team members on the creation of new analytics; report to Sr. Management as necessary - Responsible for the P&L attribution of certain portfolios and making recommendations for pricing based on actuals and expectations seen through backtesting. - Manage group of professional staff . Coach and assist other Analytic Consultants within the group on data, process efficiencies, and analytical problem solving - Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed to better understand any aspect of Capital Markets P&L
Basic Qualifications: 6+ years reporting and analytical experience and 1+ years management experience.
Minimum Qualifications: - 4 year degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics - 6-10 years of relevant work experience, including management experience - Strong managerial and problem solving skills - Strong desire and ability to learn quickly - Proven ability to multi task and successfully lead a very dynamic environment
Preferred Skills: - Mortgage industry experience preferred - Capital Markets knowledge preferred - Access and Business Objects experience strongly suggested to be most successful
