Description

Where Technology and Teamwork come together...  The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Cybersecurity Enterprise Solutions Operating Unit within the Defense Technologies Division working on the MCNOSC contract and will be responsible for providing cybersecurity solutions to the Marine Corps.  The candidate will perform Incident Response for possible network intrusions on the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN).  They will provide recommended defensive courses of action in order to mitigate the risk associated with network intrusion attempts.  The Incident Responder will conduct incident reporting per DoD regulations and provide support to other DOD Network Defense agencies with security issues related to the GIG.           

Roles and Responsibilities:

·        Respond to and direct actions to mitigate identified possible network intrusion events

·        Provide recommended defensive courses of action in order to mitigate the risk associated with network intrusion attempts.

·        Asses Operational Impact of network security events on the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN).

·        Conduct incident reporting per DoD regulations.

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of CND experience

-8570 Compliant for IAT II CND Reporter or ability to become compliant with 180 days of hire.

-Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

- Basic Packet Analysis

- Ability to investigate Intrusion Detection System alerts. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of CND policies, regulations and compliance documents specific to the DoD.

- Familiarity with CJCSM 6510.01A.

- Understanding of functionality and capabilities of computer network defense technologies, to include: Router ACLs, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-virus, Web Content Filtering.
