Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must have a BS or higher degree in Computer
Science, Engineering, Math, or Physics or a related
technical discipline, with a strong foundation in Software
Engineering principles and meet all of the following
requirements:
- Possess Experience using Microsoft Office Tools
- Possess Related Experience using
C++ and/or JAVA
- Possess an Active Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hold an Advanced Technical Degree
- Have Industry Experience in Software
Development or Systems Engineering in a Unix/Red Hat
Linux environment, including shell scripting
- Able to work in an agile, small team environment in
close collaboration with other teams and organizations
- Position prefers a candidate with a current SCI
Clearance
- Possess current knowledge of UML, Artisan, Computer
Security, algorithmic/mathematical programming, software
tool development, and exposure to SGI IRIX, AIX, X/Xt/Motif
and JAVA GUI framework
- Possess recent experience developing Overhead Persistent Infrared Ground Software - Possess recent experience developing Space Tracking
and Surveillance System Ground Software
- Implemented Mission Management Tasks using Java, XML, JMS, Web Logic, and OS Comet
