The Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System (WS) is the Joint Forces Air Component Commander's (JFACC) primary Command and Control (C2) node to develop the air and space operations strategies and plans to meet the Combat Commander's objectives. It is the senior element of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) which includes subordinate ground and air C2 units trained and equipped to plan, coordinate, control, execute and monitor air, space and cyberspace operations across the full range of military operations. The AOC controls a wide range of air power to achieve Air Force objectives of Global Vigilance, Global Reach and Global Power.
Modern warfighting demands a modern, standardized and integrated AOC. As a member of the Northrop Grumman AOC team, you will help to provide our warfighters with a state-of-the-art, net-centric computing solution that provides a flexible and robust environment for meeting the demands of time critical analysis and decision making processes now and into the future.
This engineer will support the production of the AOC-WS 10.2 net-centric infrastructure by performing design and supporting implementation activities for the security sub-system. Experience and understanding of IA controls and counter measures for web enabled/SOA applications and ability to document, implement and verify IA solutions is a must. Experience implementing or demonstrated understanding of Public Key Enablement and smart card authentication solutions is required. Experience with relevant technologies along with the ability and desire to keep current with emerging security technologies is a must. Applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S. in a relevant engineering discipline
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Active DoD Secret (or above) Clearance
- Demonstrated experience with IA controls and counter measures
- Demonstrated experience with securing service oriented architectures
- Demonstrated experience with single-sign-on technologies for web user interfaces
- Experience with cross security domain solutions
- Experience with PKI / CAC enablement
- Understanding of security/performance tradeoff options
- Familiarity with DoD Security directives (e.g., 8570)
- Familiarity with UNIX operating systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP
- Security+ Certification
- Experience with securing service oriented architectures
- Experience developing secure applications in Java and JEE for app-server deployment
- Knowledge of XML technology
- Understanding of Security specifications, including WS-Security, SAML, XACML, OAuth
- Experience with DoD systems development
- Experience with AOC military operations
- Experience with SysML/UML modeling
- Experience with Agile Development
- Experience with CMMI
- Formal education in IT Security
- Experience with Active Directory and LDAP, including interoperability with java-based web environment
- Experience with DoD cross-domain security
