 Join Northrop Grumman Information Systems and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Security Engineer 2 to join the AOC WS team in Herndon, VA.
 
The Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System (WS) is the Joint Forces Air Component Commander's (JFACC) primary Command and Control (C2) node to develop the air and space operations strategies and plans to meet the Combat Commander's objectives.  It is the senior element of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) which includes subordinate ground and air C2 units trained and equipped to plan, coordinate, control, execute and monitor air, space and cyberspace operations across the full range of military operations.  The AOC controls a wide range of air power to achieve Air Force objectives of Global Vigilance, Global Reach and Global Power.
 
Modern warfighting demands a modern, standardized and integrated AOC. As a member of the Northrop Grumman AOC team, you will help to provide our warfighters with a state-of-the-art, net-centric computing solution that provides a flexible and robust environment for meeting the demands of time critical analysis and decision making processes now and into the future.
 
This engineer will support the production of the AOC-WS 10.2 security infrastructure by supporting the team in implementing net-centric security infrastructure components.  Tasking includes implementing SSO solutions to legacy web applications, implementing identity management solutions, configuring and implementing web service security solutions and integrating various COTS products to support AAA requirements.  Experience with relevant technologies along with the ability and desire to keep current with emerging security technologies is a must.  Applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

 

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related discipline; additional years experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years applicable experience
  •  Secret (or above) Clearance
  • Experience implementing SSO or Identity Management solutions
  • Experience with XML technologies (XSLT, WS Standards) 
  • Understanding of Kerberos
  • Understanding of PKI technologies
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with Maven, SVN and general development support technologies
  • Experience with SSL enablement
  • Experience with Layer 7 XML Security Gateway
  • Experience with Microsoft ADFS, UAG and FIM
  • Experience implementing and securing SOAP and REST services
  • Experience with SAML, OpenID, OAUTH
  • Familiarity with UNIX operating systems
  • Security+ Certification
  • Experience with DoD systems development
  • Experience with AOC military operations
  • Experience with Agile Development
  • Experience with CMMI
