Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
The Mid-level Software Engineer will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers
and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems
on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure software standards are met.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Must have 9 years of experience (or 5 years with a BS degree) in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing,
and problem diagnosis/resolution.
- Have 1 year of experience in the intelligence environment. Must be skilled in programming using Top Down, Event Driven, and object oriented paradigms.
- Interested in developing business logic code using JAVA not GUI development.
- Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment.
- Current TS/SCI with polygraph.
Desired Skills:
- Four (4) years JAVA programming experience
- Experience with J2EE, Jboss and Spring
- Experience in Web Services implementation
- Experience working with geographically distributed systems
