Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work with a team of clinical Subject Matter Experts (SMES's), software developers, system architects, testers, and trainers to develop an enterprise level system. The position is located in Northern Virginia. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health IT, VA & Military Systems Program operating unit, an organization that serves the needs of our nation's military and veterans.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering programs to train all levels of personnel. This includes the Development of tests and visual aids, conducting training classes, and developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Candidate will continually monitor trainings and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS or BA and 6 years of experience, equivalent combination of experience and education will be accepted.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering of material to train all levels of personnel, or equivalent.
experience in IT working as a Trainer for new system solutions, including developing course content and delivering training to users
- Experience as a Trainer or Training Lead involving training design, training materials development, and training delivery for face?to?face (i.e., direct delivery) training
- Experience performing training for a ?train the trainer? program (i.e., performing direct delivery training to trainers on training methods and concepts as well as training on domain content)
- Familiar with training concepts and approaches, principles of employee training, effective training methods, adult learning principles, lesson plan development/ configuration, and not merely a ?presenter?
- Ability to communicate effectively with project staff and customers to solve complex issues.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation
- Must be US citizen or current Green Card Holder
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in VistA, AHLTA & CHCS.
- Experience with automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of Project Planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
