The Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) Center is seeking a wireless system Installer who is looking for a challenging opportunity to perform various wireless networking (WLAN), AIT and RFID system equipment installations and training. The position involves installing WLAN, AIT and RFID hardware and software in an operational environment, as well as training end users on the use of the equipment and software. Duties will require the installation and configuration of WLAN and RFID components in support of DoD and commercial agencies. Additionally, the installation of various operating systems software and the full operational testing of the particular system will be required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience managing/installing/troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 servers. Knowledge of DIACAP (DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process).
- High School diploma required.
- System troubleshooting skills a must.
- Required to physically carry and set up computer hardware and associated tools to support the installation and operation of the applicable system.
- Considerable (75%) travel (US and overseas) required. Travel will include weekends and holidays.
- This position requires a valid driver's license.
- Candidates should be detail oriented and possess good decision-making ability.
- Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new/challenging situations.
- Strong committment to a team environment.
- Capacity to work unsupervised.
- Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies as required.
Preferred Qualifications: -
Aruba Certified Mobility Associate, Computer and network related skills, Oracle software familiarity, WLAN and RFID communications experience, A+ , Network +, Security +, CWNA, CWSP, and MSCE a plus.
