Description

Position will involve a broad range of mechanical/aeronautical engineering analysis and support to structural components managed by an Air Force (AF) Air Logistics Center (ALC). Position will involve engineering business processes associated with responsibilities such as source qualification, repair processes development, 761/762 screening, ECP evaluation and processing, tech data review and update, R&M assessments, etc.  Support to structural repair shops and manufacture suppliers shall include assessment of repair and manufacturing processes, waiver review and approval, change requests, and analysis necessary for the development of solutions for repair and manufacturing problem areas.  Additionally, review of Technical Data Packages and Source Approval Packages to ascertain integrity and provide guidance regarding special processes will be required.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:  

Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills in order to effectively interact with Government counterparts, and cross-functional organizations. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of  (3) three years experience in mechanical/aeronautical engineering  required.  Candidate must have a current or inactive NAC in JPAS and must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
 


Preferred Qualifications:    Repair design/substantiation, tool design, analysis experience in loads, materials, stress and composite re-procurement and repair/low observable issues.
