Put your years of experience into a future of excellence...The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's team to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Office (PSPO) suite of computer and automated software applications. CBP PSPO supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the CBP mission of securing our borders while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.

Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Configuration Management Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The candidate will coordinate with the client and with team members in selecting and applying CM tools and providing CM support and administration to the program. Experience with legacy mainframe/COBOL as well as Java JEE technologies.

The qualified applicant must be able to:
- Work with multiple production and development environments including legacy mainframe/COBOL as well as Java JEE technologies.
- Develop, administer and implement CM plans/procedures.
- Conduct configuration audits and reviews.
- Maintain documentation control.
- Create/maintain master records.
- Support release and item development records.
- Support CCBs as required.
- Review and validate deliverables.
- Develop and manage QA and CM forms, reports, and databases.
- Maintain knowledge and experience with industry project management and process methodologies and tools.
- All work will be performed on site at CBP offices in Northern Virginia. Some local travel to various CBP sites may be required.
- Travel to sites outside the Washington DC area may be required.

 

This position is contingent upon customer approval.


 

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 10 years experience.
- Experience with one or more automated CM tools.
- Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft software development environment and possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain a DHS/CBP security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications
- Have an active DHS/CBP security clearance.
- Prior experience with CBP desired.
- Experience with legacy mainframe/COBOL/Datacom/Java JEEE preferred
