Put your years of experience into a future of excellence...The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's team to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Office (PSPO) suite of computer and automated software applications. CBP PSPO supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the CBP mission of securing our borders while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.

Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.

The qualified applicant must have experience in
- Planning, requirements, analysis, design, construction and testing of enterprise information systems.
- Developing analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions.
- Performing enterprise wide strategic systems planning, business information planning, business and analysis.
- Developing and applying software migration strategies.
- Performing process and data modeling in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools.
- Applying reverse engineering and re-engineering disciplines to develop software engineering documents.
- Documenting the design and implementation.
- Developing against the functional, technical, and performance requirements.
- Developing and executing unit tests and performance tests.
- Providing technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools.
- All work will be performed on site at CBP offices in Northern Virginia. Some local travel to various CBP sites may be required.
- Travel to sites outside the Washington DC area may be required.

This position is contingent upon customer approval.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 9 years experience.
- Must be able to obtain a DHS/CBP security clearance.
- Experience in working in legacy mainframe/COBOL as well as Java JEE technologies.
- Familiarity with writing database procedures and packages.
- Applicant must have experience with automated tools as well as collaboration and tracking tools, JIRA and Confluence Wiki.

Preferred Qualifications
- Have an active DHS/CBP security clearance.
- Prior experience with CBP desired.
