Rush University Medical Center presents an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner at the Rush Fetal & Neonatal Medicine Center. The Nurse Practitioner supports the daily activities of the Fetal & Neonatal Medicine Center which includes providing direct advanced practice clinical care to patients. In addition, he/she will provide coordination of family conferences, patient education and counseling, and supports administrative functions. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Further Position Highlights:

  • Maintain an individual caseload of patients referred to the Rush Fetal & Neonatal Medicine Center.

  • Provide prenatal care for a caseload of patients at Women’s Healthcare at Rush.

  • Coordinate patient care services while the patient is a Rush Fetal & Neonatal Medicine Center patient; facilitate the referral process from established and new physicians/providers.

  • Support and participate in research related activities.

  • Foster marketing of the center to physician providers, establishing new relationships and fostering established contacts. Participate in community activities that promote the center’s presence within the medical community.

  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment with a strong team.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing required.

  • IL RN and APN licensure required; preferably with a concentration in Women’s Health.

  • Experience in clinical program development and operations.

  • Research experience advantageous.

  • Ability to speak Spanish advantageous.

  • Ability to work in a complex clinical system or program.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • A high level of analytical ability is required.
